Your Association Executive Suzi Brakken and I have been in constant contact regarding the information coming at us about our industry. Now that we have been designated as an Essential Business and have “The Best Practices” guidelines,
Guidelines for Real Estate Best Practices During COVID-19 we know that we can conduct business, and how.
I have been in contact with Plumas County Supervisor Jeff Engel and he said the county has not declared any further restrictions. He did say that he is nervous about buyers coming into our communities to see homes face to face and would hope that we would make every effort to offer showings by virtual tour, or other types of technology. There are a lot of ways we can do this, via Zoom, Google, Skype, What’s App and others. The well-being of our members and our industry is of paramount importance to us. If clients do come into the area please understand the recommendations established by the CDC for showing.

We’ve weathered incredibly dire circumstances–9/11, The Great Recession, COVID-19 is our latest adversity. We will get through this challenging time by sharing information and by following the best protocols for health and safety – both for us and for our clients and customers. Our industry will come out stronger on the other side.
